There's a restaurant here in Melbourne that uses the covers from Golden Books as a presentation folder for your docket when you finish your meal. Imagine my surprise when my bill came in an old childhood favourite - The Poky Little Puppy.

Needless to say, I've started collecting the series; grabbing them up at markets and boot sales as I see them. Treasured memories.

Illustrator Mary Blair has a huge following, including many at Pixar--this book is one of hers. Isn't it gorgeous?
